Good morning. I’m at 33k miles not one issue but my bumper to bumper is coming to an end, is there anything I need to check for before the 36k miles?

Maybe check the battery. Mine went at 25k. It would start, but the voltage was low. Toyota did a warranty for me thanks to some information that these guys here gave me.

I would ask the service advisor to have them look over everything. My advisor had the technician inspect my truck when they did the oil change since my warranty was running out .

The technician who did the oil change? God I hope not.

if you bring it to Toyota to do the final maintenance/service before the warranty runs out, I would at least look through the thread above and then get underneath the truck and make sure you don’t see anything that you would like them to focus on.

Personally, I think the dealership is usually untrustworthy, and you can’t take most of what they say at their word, good luck.

Say your rear camera is grainy... if you have one. They typically suck but trust me it's crazy how much they degrade over time and it's not really noticeable since it happens so gradually

It was a master tech who did the inspection not the oil change guy

All vehicles built beyond 2018 are required to have backup cameras. They don't generally degrade over time. Usually it's more a matter of technology advancing. Even putting a better camera in won't matter if your head unit doesn't work well with the new one.

I agree and disagree, main reason I disagreed is a couple people complained about their camera's being blurry near the end of their warranty so I just changed them to appease them since it would be warranty even though it looked fine, had no scratches and, I even cleaned them. I swear it was like jumping from vhs to hd visibility. Mind you thats with chevys so Toyota's camera may be limited by the headunit to the point where changing it after driving for a several 10 thousand miles that it looks the same.

For the record I forgot to file a ticket complaint under warranty for my own so I don't have first hand experience with Toyota cameras over time.

The only consensus I've heard regarding the Toyota ones is that, for whatever reason, the newer models appear granier than the earlier 3rd Gen models. It works well enough for me. I don't need HD to avoid hitting a wall or person.
