So around this time six years ago I launched a new business called Go Fast Campers with a thread in the 3rd gen section called "Hondo Garage's New Thing." At the time I had a company called Hondo Garage (now owned by a friend of mine) making Tacoma phone mounts and rad little Tacoma radio knobs. So when it was time to announce the camper I'd designed for my 3rd gen, a thread on here seemed like the best place to do it (major understatement).

That thread became quite the spectacle as we grew GFC from three people in the back corner of Hondo Garage into a much bigger company at a very fast pace. In a lot of ways that thread is, in my opinion, an interesting saga of the ups and downs of growing a business that quickly without any outside investment. Needless to say it wasn't always smooth, but we keep chipping away at the constant challenges, getting better and better every year.

So considering where we started just six years ago, it was a huge honor when Toyota called not too long ago and gave us early access so that we could scan, design, and test fit a camper on their new 4th gen taco (also major understatement).

The rear spoiler definitely threw us a challenge but our crew put their noses to the CADstone and came up with a trick solution. Pretty excited with how good it turned out.

Anyway, here are a couple of shots from the test fit. And no, the rear spoiler does not touch the front of the camper :)

Wow! That's awesome you obtained early access. GFC on 4th Gen looks great. Love that silver, too!

Funny enough, I drove through my dealer's lot last night. They had a row of Tundras, which for a moment in the dark, I thought they were 4th gen Tacomas.

A silly render we did a while back when we had images but not scan data yet. Definitely would have loved to see something more like the PPI truck on the left. :bikewhoops:

Oh well, we can dream. Even trophy trucks have gotten bigger with time. When you stand next to Ivan's old truck, it's shocking how small it is.

Growing up In San Diego in the 90's we'd see that thing in the contingency line at the races and drool.
