Bed cubby sealed replacement

I've been trying various DIY fixes to keep dust from coming inside these things. I have a shell so water is almost a non issue for me to I sealed it with duct tape but it got a bit cruddy so looking for a different solution. Thought about just filling the holes with epoxy, but pretty sure it will look like crap and as I plan to just leave the door off it will bug me every time I look at it.

I know there is a metal locking one you can drop in but it's like $250 and I'm not sure I want the extended inside part hanging down in the wheel well.

Does anyone make any sort of similar to OEM cubby that is just sealed either with or without a door? I found a replacement door that looks like it wouldn't need the slots inside to lock so I can fill them and at least hide them with the door.

Yeah, that might work. I was kind of looking for a drop in replacement rather than another DIY fix. Those would let me use the door though and more sophisticated than my hack job.

 

Google rectangle rubber grommets and plug the holes. Use the hooke door with some weatherstripping. Solution is about 65 bucks total and closest to professional. I will prob do this to mine as well.

The slots are about 7/16” x 1.5” so I would bet the rounded edge plugs or grommets would work.

Thanks. That might work as well. Probably just plugging the holes and the Hooke door is the easiest, cheapest.

 

Crap. I just realized the Hooke door or the Tuffy box probably won't work with the Rough Country Molle panels I have as they mount using the top screws and the lip/door on those would interfere.
