I had an open recall on my 07 Tacoma. Took it to Toyota dealer and the installed new ones. Then as I am driving down the road my rear right side tire blows out. Completely shredded. The tires had plenty of tread, no worn spots, and filled properly for AZ heat. Could the blowout be somehow tied to the springs being installed wrong?

Probably not. Something would have to be rubbing hard against the sidewall or some type of puncture. They just took the wheels off and set them on the ground when the springs were installed

It should not of had an effect on the tires. Did the tire blow on the first drive after picking up the truck? But, without knowing exactly what method/process the tech used for replacing the springs you may never know. Did the tech leave the wheels and tires on during the process, did they use a torch to heat/cut anything off? It may be worth having another shop or tech give it good look over.
