    Hello all,

I am hoping one of the wizards on this site can help me find the part number, or even better, the size bolt that is one of the 3 bolts used to attach the Thermostat Housing to the water pump itself around the o-ring for a 2nd gen 4.0 V6.

I started the celebratory beers too early when changing the water pump and they must've ended up in the trash.

They are meant to be left until the thermostat is bolted, check your thermostat housing for the 3 fasteners.

I re-read your post more times than I care to admit, and haven't the slightest clue what you're saying haha

The 3 bolts are passed through the thermostat housing.

Indeed they are, the bolts pass through the housing and into the Water-pump, securing an o-ring between the two mating surfaces.

My problem is, I do not have any if the 3 bolts in my possession, and I just have to find out what kind they are so I can pick some up at the hardware store.

I was in the thinking that you placed them separately. They are super long 10mm bolts.

Ahh, gotcha, sorry for the confusion.

I tried swapping in a 10mm bolt from the Thermostat Housing, but couldn't get the bolt to grab a thread with the amount of room I had to work with, so I figured I'd just make a post asking to see if I could save some time and heart ache.

I believe I am in the search for 3 bolts, rather than studs.

And your reply reminded me I left out my vehicle information (4.0 V6) , so I just edited my original post, thank you.

np, wasnt sure if it was correct. I found a VIN number with a 4.0 V6 and looked it up on that site.

I verified with my VIN number and it pulled up the same diagram, but every online seller has $15 shipping for a $1 bolt. So I'll be making a call to Toyota today to verify the part number and see if I can swing by and pick some up:fingerscrossed:
