I love and hate tables/work benches cause they're so versatile, but the second you're not needing it they become a catch-all :anonymous:

I went from pulling my throttle off my desk (pc controller), to needing to go in the garage to find an allen wrench set, to moving some steel plates, to running the air compressor and cutting myself out a welding table top, only to come inside and remember why I originally went to the garage.

Oh and my uncrustable had defrosted by then as well.

    Oh I remember

And that's exactly how it happened!

Didn't help that in the interim I cleaned off my welding table, put together scraps in another cardboard box, and sorted some sockets all while the air compressor was running :anonymous:

I'm a fan of Champion bits but at +$35 per bit it can get a bit costly so I got a Chinese variant to try

    20230928_171511.jpg

This one's been through the ringer as it has a chip here and there, but still knocks off metal easily

    20230928_171621.jpg

Needed one with a different contour so even if it doesn't last long that's fine, just need it for a little bit

    20230928_171549.jpg

But if it pushes through and doesn't chip at all I'll be impressed

Since I'm going to decommission my other table, I need to start adding tool holders to the new table.

Starting with an angle grinder holder -

Thinking I'll weld a smaller square tube across the top and attaching the holder to that.

I'll need to possibly make a shelf on one half below the table for placing flap discs and other shit I need at the ready.

Finally got a new table saw. Dewalt 10" (with the stand).

Also got a new weed whacker. Stihl KM 111 and the weedwhacker attachment and the....metal blade attachment. havent tried the string trimmer one yet but the metal blade worked well cutting through stalks that were 1/2"-3/4" thick

That table saw is a good one for being a jobsite saw.

This brush blade works very well. Chops stuff down and chops it up at the same time.

Yeah, been on my list to pick up for awhile. I just dont use a table saw too often so it kept getting pushed back. Have a project that i actually kind of need one and luckily the Amazon "used" offering was nothing more than a damaged box.

Funny you would recommend that. Was going to get it (similar one at least), but got talked out of it by my "salesmen". Well not so much talked out of, but more of a try the Stihl blade first kind of thing. Most of my use for it is just on Sage Brush like weeds. So not much brush to have to mulch...just mow down at the stalk. Similar to blackberries.
