Hello new to the forum. I have a 2023 Tacoma off road 4x4. I’m about to pull the trigger on purchasing OVRLND pop top, just looking for some feed back from others that have purchased one. Tons of questions. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated

how are you liking it? anything different you'd order? i'm looking at getting barn doors, flip up hatch on driver side (with window vent) and a big window vent slider on the passenger side since we'll be traveling with the dog back there. fan, extended bed height, front window slider to access the cab, window on one of the barn doors. not sure what else. i recently picked up a 1st gen tundra double cab so it'll be sitting on that.

wow that's all great news! Yeah I am super stoked. They offer a headliner and insulation in the roof now for around 1k bucks more. I'm tempted to just have them do it, and I'll insulate the sides myself eventually. Also, about 4 trips a year I will have the entire family of 4 with me (many more with just me and one of the kids or solo). I plan to drop a camping bunk bed cot like the one linked below into the bed for them to sleep on. did you build out the bottom area at all?

yeah we're definitely gonna throw the kids into a tent when we camp for a few nights at a time in the same spot. It's those quick 1 stop overnighters during long trips that we want to make a decent spot down below for them.

If you're already insulating the sides just opt for the headliner and insulate the roof yourself too. The headliner is way nicer than anything I would've been able to make myself (and I did try) and is suuuuper easy to remove to install your own insulation. The headliner is completely worth it, but if you're already doing the sides just save the money and do the roof too. Any heat-tolerant VHB will hold the insulation just fine (those metal roofs get HOT).
