Looking at possibly buying this truck looking for opinions

I am planning on going to look at this truck Friday and I was looking for opinions on it. It’s a 2013 double cab with 150k miles. The seller said the frame hadn’t been replaced which concerned me a bit. I attached some pics of the frame.

 

Hurricane , WV. I’m from New Haven. Used to go to Hurricane to play ball.

 

You’ll want to get fingers on those crossmembers and feel for soft spots. Tough to tell for certain from the photos. Not an obvious pass at this point from what I see but for sure signs of concern based on how rusty the leafs are.

I agree.
You can’t tell the condition of the frame by those pictures.
The problems start in areas not easily seen from picture taken outside of the truck.
Inside section the frame is where it stars.
Mostly by the cats (drivers side) and the frame rail on passside going up toward the exhaust.
Pretty much any where the frame “sandwiched” together is a got spot.

CRAWL under the truck and look.
Look all over…..then look again.

 

BTW, the spare tire looks to be missing?
I’d mention that. I personally like having a spare.
And a good spare isn’t “cheap”. Maybe $300-$400 for a good tire and steel wheel.

 

That frame looks great. But check drivers side inside behind the cab mount. Tap with a hammer. If that checks out, id say its a good buy

 

ask questions , one owner truck , maintenance records , any modifications - you know the drill
