Ah,, an excellent bit of advice. I was actually thinking the bales would function more as a backstop that the actual target, but I hadn't considered your point. I used to shoot archery a lot as a kid, my dad had several recurves. He even taught me how to twist my own bowstring from #6 linen thread. But my wife has never even held a bow, so I was thinking she is likely to send a few arrows all over the place, and a large backstop would prevent most from ending up in the next county

We have quite a lot of farms within a couple miles of our house that harvest and bale them, and I was aware they can come in several sizes. I had not even thought about them being a pest attractant, so thank you for that solid advice.

Can confirm that target is great . I’ve been through lots of different archery targets . I have that one and this one
Been shooting a bow since 1990 .
