Hey all, I did my due diligence and
Tried to find the solution on here before writing this, but found nothing. I just installed some 5100 bilsteins on my 99 Tacoma but i noticed the the rods are showing at the top. She rides fine but I’m not sure if that’s something I should fix. Could use some advice or confirmation that it’s fine.

No big deal. Take up the space with a thicker top bushing.

Why is it like that though, wrong bushings to begin with?

Something seems off to me. That’s about how much was showing when I had no top bushing at all.

This is how it looks when it’s correct:

the rubber at the top of your spring looks like it’s done as well - could it be collapsed and allowing the shock to poke higher than it should?

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
    Something's not assembled right.

Don't drive it like that, it will damage the mount and shock.

    It's not assembled correctly.

Most likely they forgot the bottom washer under the top hat that goes under the bushing
Should be washer, bushing, top hat, bushing, washer, nut.

Any links to buy some new bushings? Can’t seem to find any online. Maybe I’m looking up the wrong thing

Yeah not gonna lie to you folks, there is no lower bushing. And now I understand why I have that space.

The kit in the link provided by @Gen1andDone will do the trick.
