Hi everyone, doing preliminary homework on a build. Does anyone have expierence running icon tubular upper control arms and icon coil overs (icon stage 8) with Total Chaos lower control arms (stock length race series)? What is the compatibility with the two brands? Any fitment problems? Does anyone know if the icon S2 secondary shock system will work using icon upper mounts and the Total Chaos LCA? Obviously the LCA will have duel shock support. Thanks!

Thanks for posting up. Running the TC Lower Control Arms with a different Upper won't be an issue.

You WILL run into some issues with the Icon Secondary setup. The geometry and spacing is different when comparing a TOTAL CHAOS LCA to stock. The Icon Shock Hoop was designed for a stock control arm which will result in the lower shock mount being off from the TC control arm.

An alternative is to run the TOTAL CHAOS Secondary Shock Hoop. This was designed to be used with the TC lowers and will have all of the geometry needed to work. Since you are running the tubular arms, modifications most likely won't be needed. Some grinding would most likely be required with the larger billet arms.

Hope this helps answer your questions!

This is a similar question for the total chaos guys. I’m running an icon lift kit with the billeted UCA and delta joint. I’m interested in upgrading the LCA to your TC ones. What kind of issues will I run into?

Ah I just read more that some grinding will be needed for the billeted arms

What did you need to grind with your icon billet arms to use the total chaos Lca?
