Anyone seen a Grenadier in person yet? I have a friend in line for one that's set for delivery on January. Early reports online seem pretty favorable. Build quality is good. A few early issues addressed, etc. I'm curious for firsthand reports.

That BMW mill scares me. However, it's a factory-built triple-locked high clearance 4x4 on solid axles, and that's pretty neat all around.

That's interesting. I knew it was a BMW power plant but not the specifics. Your comment sent me off to read about it. From what Googel found me, the B58 engine (in BMW speak) seems to generally get good write-ups. I didn't see any real negatives on it. Anything specific give you pause?

I also learned that my original post was premature. U.S. delivery has been pushed to Q1,m 2024, so there probably aren't any here in the states to have been seen. I did see a credible report of a couple oof sightings, with the thinking being that they are probably oversees units imported by a US manufacturer for benchmarking. Seems plausible.

There's gotta be a lot of them running around at high mileages before I'd trust it. We see 1GR and 2UZ motors rack up crazy miles frequently, but until we see a bunch of B58's at 500,000 it's hard to believe most will make it to 250,000 for example

Fair enough. I'll post some pics as soon as I get to see it, but it will be early next year.

Thanks, that was the most critical (in a good sense) review video I've seen yet.
