    Our Canadian friends get an Off Road TRD AC with a 6 ft bed and a manual transmission in the 3rd gen, but we can’t. We only get the sport. But I want locking rear diff from the factory. And I don’t see the logic of why not. It’s not an engineering issue that I can think of for us in the USA. Even wrote a letter to Toyota asking and got some BS reply.

    Heh, there are three such OR AC with manual transmission in my local off-road club. My observation is they're harder to drive smoothly over obstacles and like to stall often. Clutch engagement is also wonky coming out of water crossings with a wet clutch.
