After 45 years of Marriage I have finally figured out my wife

i ask my brother-in-law what his plans are for the weekend... his standard reply is "ask your sister" (his wife)... very sad...

 

Better to ask for forgiveness then permission

 

Some advice from my dad:

Men get to make all of the major decisions in a marriage, women the minor decisions.
The women get to decide which are major and which are minor.

 

Funny story...

Last weekend at Walmart, we were in the shampoo section and an elder gentleman approached us.

He proceeded to ask how long we had been married..."33 years" I said, then he replied, "I've been married 66 years".

"Wow! What's your secret?" I asked.

Some things I remember him saying...

"I let my wife do all the worrying--my wife does enough worrying for the both of us."

"There are 3 rings in a marriage:"

- The engagement ring
- The wedding ring
- And Enduring

He seemed like such a happy/comedic elderly fella.

 

I tell her "Whatever you think is best". It gives her some sway in matters that she is going to have the final say and feel involved in non-important things and eliminates any debating, but when it comes down to really important things, I'll have the deciding vote, not that her opinions, suggestions and advice are not considered and welcome.

 

I have found honesty works well, you are a huge pain in the ass, but you look good nekid! It seems to work.
