12 Hours of VMUTS May 31-June 1 2024

This has been in my mind for sometime now. Its open to anyone with a 4wd vehicle dose not have to be a Tacoma. Its a 12 hour trail ride some day and some night driving. We will all stay in a group so the going might get slow depends on drivers.
** the chances of us getting lost with me having a map, gaia and quad on is highly likely.**

I have been roaming through Vmuts for the past 2 years and I feel comfortable taking a group there for 12 hours straight. Stopping for breaks along the way and hopefully we can actually finish it in 12 hours which I think is very doable.

you must be able to answer yes to these questions if you would like to participate

• can you stay up for 12 hours and drive through the trails day and night time
• can you use the bathroom in the woods day and night
• can you pack your food and snacks and eat while driving
• is your vehicle mechanically sound to last 12 hours
• do you have a licence and insurance on your vehicle
• will you bring enough fuel for the trip (full tank should be enough)
• dose your vehicle have tow points
• dose your vehicle have working lights
• will you have an air compressor for airing up
• do you have a full size spare tire
• if your vehicle breaks down do you have a plan on what you will do
• will you get a vmuts pass for the 2 days

• will you have a 2 way radio that is charged and works set to channel 4
• will you bring camping gear or able to car camp at the end
• will you abstain from any alcohol or cannabis for the duration of the 12 hours
• must be able to drive at the speed the group is driving at (no slow pokes and now Mario Andretti's )
• you must be able to have fun enjoy the ride

Saturday June 1 2024 finish at or before 3am


this will give the group a good amount of time night driving. and some time to sleep after.

I'm thinking its more like when your 16 and you just got your 365 and your parnets are sleeping so you sneek out and take the car and don't bring it back until the gas guage it just above empty.

 

Pro tip: if you fill the gas tank with water, it looks full

Thats also black bear season and thats a great area for black bear. I'll probably go hunting on the Sunday after the trip lol

Sounds interesting but I got a NO on the first question

 

We'll be working on the event early spring. Depend on who comes we might have 2 groups and meet up at points and a meet back at camp as long as the way back is clear to everyone. So no worries.
