Has anyone removed the 3M clear protection from their Tacoma?

I did and now i have this residue all over my truck that i am having challenges getting off.

I have tried Soap and Water, and Goo Gone.

Had someone tell me that WD-40 might help with oil based, while another buddy suggested Acetone, which i know from many years of experience is a terrible idea

Isopropyl Alcohol should break it down. Might still be a pain though.

Acetone seems aggressive on the paint to me.

3M makes a 4 inch diameter eraser, designed to be cordless drill powered, that will take the residue off without damaging the paint

I used the 3M spray adhesive remover to remove the clear protection. It worked for me. It takes work and patience.

    LS1 swap with nitros.
I used a heat gun, plastic razor blades, and goo gone. It’s a mess, it’s a pain, but they came off and I was able to replace them with custom cut xpel film.

Paint thinner, i.e mineral spirits is a good option for removing adhesive. It won't harm your paint and it's cheap.
