    Good morning,

I have a 2009 here with an ARB front bumper. I'm getting ready to install a Warn EVO 10-S, and want to be sure that I don't need a particular style of fairlead to get it in correctly.

I know that rollers are no good for synthetic line - can I use a standard synthetic fairlead with a centered opening, or do I need one that is offset top or bottom?

    Thanks!

I am running the ARB and had to get an offset fairlead for the synthetic line. The centered fairlead didnt work as the line was rubbing the edge of the bumper cutout.

I am running this Slee fairlead.

Is this something to consider with a winch only from Warn? Or with any synthetic line winch?

I have an ARB bumper coming next week and am going to run the Harbor Freight Apex 12000 with synthetic line.

I am running a smittybilt winch. I am not sure if the other winches will align the line better than others like mine.

Looks like an offset opening is needed for any winch with a synthetic lead mounted feet-forward in an ARB bumper. I talked to an acquaintance who is very familiar with this, who said they previously talked to ARB about it and ended up making some adapters in-house, but that's a tangent. Basically, most ARB bumpers were designed to use standard roller fairleads and that's that.

ARB sells a kit (P/N:3500600 for about $110 retail) to adapt a center opening hawse fairlead (like the one that might come with your winch kit), or you can pick up an offset from Slee or a couple other manufacturers (WARN P/N 106882, the SP Offset model from OKOffroad, ones from Custom Splice and Factor 55, probably others).

Nothing worse than an OP who finds the answer and leaves everyone else wondering.

Hey guys, does anyone know if you need the Relocation kit for the control pack to fit in these ARB bumpers? thanks
