    Found some good theeads via search and bought some 18” struts from Amazon. Tired of smacking my melon on that damn red knob on the latch mechanism and thought these would work. Wrong. The door wont close all the way to latch. Anybody got a part number for a strut to hold the door up higher? When the original strut is closed there is only about a 1” gap between the strut cylinder and the window. Not sure if a 15” is the max or if I should go to 50 pounds or more?IMG_0172.jpgIMG_0171.jpg
