KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

I've been lucky to get 16-17 on the highway.... and you know I'm not in 35s(though heavy enough that I'm just about back tomstock height, lol).

Still need to sort out getting these heavier coils, and leaf packs in...

 

Once the tune settles I find it very easy to keep things living at 2k rpm give or take, that's the sweet spot. 35s and wide open interstate put me at 1800@80 I found out this weekend lol. We should definitely try to get a mod day in before the cold really sets in, ill help you bang out that suspension stuff

 

Yeah. II'll. Be back after the first week of November. Hit the road next Friday.

Met up with Noah early this morning in San Diego. Noah has a 2021 we updated and flashed the Pro-10.0 with Sport throttle. Noah is running 35's and 5.29's we got him dialed in to get the best combination for his trucks setup. Noah was super happy with the improvements from just his test drive. He cant wait to get it out on the highway. It was good meeting you this morning enjoy the Pro-10.0 tune!

I haven't forgotten Jerry I was down in Fiesta Island. Next trip anywhere near you I will shoot you a PM swing by and get that AGM setting changed for you!

Little over 8 years later Hit 100,000 miles today. Loved every mile of it.

The 3rdGen has been a very reliable and capable truck. The tunes we have created just made me love it even more.

I'll second that. Between me and a couple other trucks we beat the piss out of this platform and every issue I've had at least has been user error lol. Cheers to 100k

 

72+k here, other than BSMs(gone now), and the obnoxious shift strategy(what shift strategy? Shifted like a drunk trying to find their way around an Eaton RT-18), truck has been good, and taken anything I throw at it.
Too, a trip down to East Hartford today, down 84, and it shifted... like it should. Only to 4th where even my 6.0van drops a gear or 2.
It's still thirsty, but, if I was worried about MPGs, I'd drive a Prius, and not a heavy tacoma with the aerodynamics of a brick...

No issues reported with cuise control right? Haven't used that since it had about 2-3k...

So far pretty stoked. If it keeps shifting like this after the tune settles, I will be, beside myself....

Question, have y'all done any tuning for the Magnusson?

No we haven't done any FI tunes. Sticking with the NA vehicles for now- Tacomas, 4Runners, Tundras, Land Cruisers, Lexus GX, Highlander
But when/if the new Tundras and new turbo Tacomas get supported, we will work on tuning them.

I had Jim Miracle update me to 10 couple weeks ago. You can really tell difference with 10.

I've had several revisions of KDMax over time.
I have over 2 tanks on latest revision.

Recently upgrade from 9 to 10. On 9 peddle position normal, AGM battery, oversized tires.

I generally use 87 octane. 255/75/17s

10 only thing I had changed was peddle position to light.

Couple things right away I noticed. I enjoy light peddle position, makes it not so jumpy for me, better throttle control in 4WD specially in 4L. With version 9 and normal peddle for daily driving was sometimes jumpy I felt, sometimes surprised myself taking off or backing in.
Smoother shifting points on 10. On 9 I sometimes felt it held rpm to long before shifting. RPM range pulls nice and not just downshifting as frequently as 9 did, not like 9 did it a lot but it was noticeable to me. It was very noticeable going from 9 to 10 the driving experience an feel.

 

Took a short ride on this rainy Saturday to get Joel's sweet 2019 Tacoma TRD Pro setup with our KDMax Pro v10.0 tune! Joel's from North Adams, MA but his girlfriend lives here in NY. He reached out to me some time back to ask about the tuning process, indicating he would be in touch when he was next in my area. Today was that day! Got him setup on the Normal trottle setting, which provides just right response to account for the added weight and suspension modifications on his truck. He could feel the difference immediately on our post-tune test drive!
