^^^ way to expensive I agree. When it comes to get a front bumper. I'll take a few pictures of some bumpers to a guy and have one made.

Having T-boned a guy in Toyota van with my dads GMC Sierra about 10 years ago and almost killed a few people I always felt a need for more protection in the vehicles I own. I installed an ARB bull bar a few months ago on my 08' stock Tacoma with no problems I can tell at this time. No sagging either. It's solid as a mother******. It makes me feel a lot safer. I think the ARB offers more protection than any of the other bumpers that are out there. Get one.

The accident wasn't my fault by the way and both vehicles were totalled.

FWIW theres a downside to these steel bumpers too

theyre not designed to crumple like an oem bumper...the crush cans are removed etc...

that being said...you hit someone or get hit by someone in something other than a incredibly minor bump...youre going to feel the full effect of the collision. Because it doesnt crumple all the collision energy is transferred elsewhere instead of being eaten up...guess what...your body is the soft object recieving that blow...

I've never liked carrying the winch on the front bumper. The extra 75# is an issue; Even with a cover the road dirt and salt gets all over and into the winch & cable, and; Sometimes it comes in handy to have the winch on the rear. So...... High Country 4X4 built a receiver to fit into my ARB and wired both ends of the truck. I carry the winch in the recovery box and address all three issues. Here you can see the receiver and electrical receptacle below and beside the license plate.

Na Ive got the 2.5 from OME or ARB which ever you wanna call it. But didnt want anything real tall just heavier springs for the rear because of haling the quad trailer with 4 bikes on it. And for bigger tires Im gonna stay with 265/75R16. I commute a lot in my truck and wearing out bigger tires is a major expense. Thanx for the compliment:D

wow, thats interesting. the one at the local dealer has a 3/4 to maybe 1" gap between the fender and the bumper, thats why i mentioned it. i guess the off road shop that installed it must have lowered it a bit, or ARB has made them mount a little lower.

I thought the ARB was the only aftermarket bumper certified to work with your airbags?
