    Hello beautiful communit,

So today I was changing my rotors and brake pads as well, so I have used like usual my C-clamp , and when I pushed the brake boot back with the c clamp , so I can put those thicker pads , and my brake fluid leaked from the top of the cap . Just wondering if that was normal ? It didn’t leaked before tho lol

Most likely means someone topped off the brake fluid when it had worn brakes so when you pushed the calipers in it overflowed.

Happens alot, when people see the brake fluid is low they top it off even though alot of systems are designed so that if the brake fluid is at the full mark with new pads it will be low enough when the pads get too thin to trigger the brake warning light.
It seldom ends up working out this way though due to people topping it off and also brake pads tend to wear unevenly so one side may be in the rotor and the other may have 30%+ left.

It can happen. I bet you didn’t crack the bleeders and then compressed the piston didn’t you? (It is ok, I don’t either)
It happens more often when people top off the brake fluid as the pads wear.
I’ve even removed some fluid from the reservoir if it’s completely full and the pads are worn completely out.
When you compress the pistons without checking open the bleeder, the fluid get pushed back up the lines and into the reservoir.

Just make sure the fluid is at the full mark and carry on.
    Nothing to worry about.
