What have you turned off on your Tacoma?

Lane departure, bsm, cruise controls, abs, atrac, bypassed the rear locker, manual tcase swapped, add deleted, tape over the tpms/abs/other dash lights basically an old school toyota with leather and heated seats

 

LDA, both front seat belt reminders, and PCS permanently off.

 

ALL of the beeping. Finally. Couldn’t recommend it enough. 30 mins is all it took to pull this piezoelectric speaker. No more door related beeping or beeping when starting, or beeping when doors open while in gear. The truck is silent and it’s a mod I notice and appreciate every single day even a month later lol

 

Do tell. Where is this mystery beep coming from?

 

LSA and the Qi Charging Pad. BSM I turn on only when on the interstate.

 

That small speaker is on the back of the instrument clusters PCB. Not hard to get to and remove. It just twists off carefully. The mod is non-reversible.
I’ll see If I can find the thread about it, haven’t seen it in awhile.

Only downsides- No more fake turn signal click sound, collision avoidance braking and LDA no longer beeps but still functions and gives a visual warning. Still beeps when you LOCK doors with fob as that speaker is under the hood. Which is fine as that can be turned off anyway. Can’t stand things that beep for no reason. I pull these little piezo speakers out of anything I own that has one, lol.

 

Please tell us where it is and how to get it out. Thank you from all of us.

 

Would love to do some of things, but not till my warranty is over with.

Discovering how to use the tech and adjusting myself to it, have created a joy in driving my truck.

Add to that...the OTT Tune, V9, Mild Drive/Spicy ECT and I've got a ride that is a pleasure to drive.

 

I can't even hear the lane departure warning, unless the radio is off, and the windows are up. I guess Tinnitus has some benefits.

 

Auto light controls for headlights.

 

Certainly shouldn’t unless you have an issue with one of the systems that utilizes the beeper such as TSS or LDA or perhaps BSM. My warranty ends soon (actually today) so I finally pulled it out.

 

Where is it located so i can remove mine? or muffle it with tape,

 

I wish I could stop the pop up that tells me I dropped below 32 mph.

 

Here’s a video. It’s not mine, But it goes over where to find the speaker and how to silence it. I tried sticking a few layers of TESA tape over the speaker before removing it and it did very little to the sound.

Now that I have a steel rear bumper, the BSM and all of that shit are turned off.

Over the weekend my buddy used the carista app on his phone to turn off the seatbelt chime.

Wow, its so much better. I never really thought about it. I usually will ride down to the mailbox and check the mail before leaving, and that beeping was so annoying it just ruins a little bit of your quality of life.

I meant to leave my belt off so I could see if the faster chime that kicks in a minute or so later goes off, but I keep putting my seatbelt on without thinking about it, but odds are its off for good.

Highly recommended to delete that chime at all costs.

 

I am going to be removing my bumper to disconnect BSM because one of my blindside monitors Keep blowing 10 amp fuse .when the fuse goes I have no heated mirrors , No heated seats , No temperature control at all including no fan ,for heater just a blank black control screen,also outside temperature on the dash reads “ E” I presume that stands for error instead of actual outside temperature.
My question out there can I disconnect these monitors replace 10 amp fuse and have everything back to working order?
