    None... yet.
Yeah, same. Mine originally did this on either side of 30 (i.e. it was actually OK at 30, but around 25 and then again around 35 mph it would vibrate a little). Could solve it by dropping it to S4. But now that I've put around 5k on the truck, it doesn't seem to do it anymore, at least I haven't noticed it in quite some time. The other day I was driving through a 25 MPH zone near my son's daycare--where I always used to drop it into S4 to avoid vibrations--and noticed it was driving fine.

Guys, I appreciate your responses. Some of you have described it perfectly. Definitely feel it most when slowing to about 25 mph (when the trans downshifts into 3rd gear I assume) and also when driving at a constant 25 - 30 mph (even when accelerating to that speed so I assume that rules out the drum brakes). I put it in neutral and coasted at that speed and it still rode the same.

Again, mine is stock at this point (P245 tires). I really just wanted to make sure I don’t have a driveshaft problem. Eventually I’ll put 17x9 (KMC XD133) wheels and 265 A/T tires on it (maybe even lift it and go with 285’s). We’ll see if the bigger tires make a difference as some people have suggested.

Honestly it may be. The roads near me have a lot of acc/dec semi trucks and that will washboard the roads over time. I noticed the hill leaving work if I went at a normal pace it would vibrate. If I went slow it kind of bounced a bit. But if I went a decent clip then the suspension did it’s thing and it felt smooth as silk. That was a sport suspension Mazda though so I felt a lot more of the road than in my Tacoma.

I can't believe he hasn't made them buy it back already. Apparently they finally discovered there is an issue with the machining of the axles.

Significantly less noticeable in neutral, but you can still feel it a tad. That's why I'm thinking axle wrap. Regardless, the fact that virtually every stock Tacoma has this issue means it's just a quirk of the design.

No vibrations in mine, rides smooth like glass. 2018 sport.

My buddys 2nd gen had the vibration, no issues for 100k miles.

Whoa, hold the phone.... Are you talking about the diff howl issue or the vibes?

I've got both, but the howl is far more annoying.

Update for anyone with rear drive diff/ axle vibes at 20-25 mph - axle shims for the win!

Lifted. 3”. The axle shims helped. 2.5 degrees. I wanted 3” but they were back ordered and the vibration was annoying me. The shop added a 1” cb drop and then i had vibes on the angle out of the drive train up front. So i put the ome 1/4” drop back in it and now i have zero vibrations. The vibes are from the angles going into rear diff or front drivetrain - shims and cb drop helped. I dont know how these guys lift it 4-5” without having major angles and vibes.

I have the OME drop kit sitting at home but i never Installed it bc a lot of guys on here said not to bother with it but its so easy to put in I might as well try it. Shims are a bit more involved and I would probably have to take it to a shop for that. My lift is 3'' as well. Glad to hear axle shims and OME cb drop solved it for ya. Maybe i have a way to go now.

They had to add larger U bolts to the rear when i added shims because i already had the lift with add a leaf. The shims pushed the smaller u bolts up to make them too small. If u have a few bottle jacks u maybe could try it but i had the shop do it. Lifting tacomas seems to get worse and worse every next gen they come out with. Lifted a tundra- no issues. But this fuckin tacoma had me spend way to much time and money trouble shooting.

Anyone figure out this issue? Bought a 2020 sr access cab and have the same issue. Read about others having it but no real fix
