    Hey everyone

My 08 Tacoma TRD OR got t-boned on the 7th and I was lucky enough to find another 2nd Gen about 5 days later. I’m not sure what the previous owner has done to it yet, but at least I have another Tacoma to play with. I forgot to upload the picture of my poor 08

I guess I could have worded that better. It has a lift, no idea what brand. Unfortunately no service history to speak of. I did find some janky chi-com lights in the fenders that change colors with an app though so that was nice. Other than that it’s looks like it was taken care of. It lived in New Jersey at one point, but I’m not gonna blame the truck for that.

I’ll take some pics tomorrow and throw them up. I appreciate it, I’m just glad I found another second gen that I could afford.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. The suspension on this Tacoma is confusing me, the rear springs are a 3+1 but I thought factory was a 2+1. IMG-0234.jpgIMG-0235.jpg

My 83 was my Grandpas that he bought new in 83 for $6,174. My family hands down old Toyotas like antique firearms. As soon as my youngest gets her license she wants to daily the pickup. It has a 3" lift, 31X10.5 MT on stock steelies, an internal roll cage, racing buckets, a Webber 32/36, an electric fuel pump, and a full LCE de smog kit.IMG_1187.jpg

Looks like 5100's with factory coils up front and factory leafs with a small block in the rear. 2nd gens originally came with 2+1 and was changed to 3+1 due to a tsb. Not sure what year the change happend. Might have been in 2012 with the front end refresh.

That's awesome. I've always wanted an 80-81 pickup. Been my favorite since I was a kid. Hard to find them in decent shape without taking out having to take out a second mortgage. Definitely plan on doing a restoration on one when I retire.
