This looks like a difficult rebuild. Waiting on pics.

Good morning. Yesterday was interesting. The laser clean of the membrane behind the cataract lens was quick and easy. The left eye gets the same treatment next Wednesday. Did a video chat with the neurologist in the afternoon and my questions were answered. Today is the gym and a Costco run. Wife wants to go to Costco, so I am in with that. Everyone, have a great day.

Good Morning Everyone! Have a great day.
42 here and our high, all down from here.

@Travlr the temps are F in my vocabulary. The western part of the state is getting it . My wife's brother moved back to Minot from Arizona o_O this summer, going blind and wanted to be closer to his kids.

Sue we only left it plugged in for a couple minutes while at idle. Go out and run it through R,N,D a couple times after 5 minutes the back to park wait 10 more do it again and take off slowly for few blocks.

I had the same laser procedure on my left eye yesterday afternoon and it made a world of difference in my vision. It took about 4 minutes. Doctor said right eye has slight clouding but doesnt need to be done yet. As of this morning, vision in both eyes is great.
    Have a great day all.

:rain::rain: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Nice wet morning, except for one surprise! Just sat down with the coffee and the dog, going through the phone overnight collection, and weather, and our fabulous Civil Air Patrol sirens go off! What does one long wail mean? Hey, it's not on the refrigerator anymore! Finally, look at the weather on the phone again, and it silently put us in a TORNADO WARNING!

Well, it turned out to be just North of the city limits, between here and COTA. Still....rain is just fine, and nothing severe was expected, but jeez!

Early vote, haircut, new glasses, plant search, and the like...

First - congrats to you and Ken for getting your eyes all fixed up! That is just great to hear (and see!)

Second - poor old motor will never be a rebuild, it's just getting torn down enough to clean more, and salvage what we can to make a static display. People are real impressed at the giant ball of junk, so we'd like to make it look appealing as possible.

    Afternoon all:

I know a couple of people from that town in Maine who had a cabin up in Jackman, hope they are OK , sad when this happens! :(

Things are picking up, saw the buck yesterday that I missed, I was walking in and he was about 80 yds from where I sit:annoyed:, we saw 2 buck this morning driving in and out of where we are hunting, but it was still dark :annoyed: We drove in, then changed our mind and went to check another spot, the other spot my buddy hunted years ago, but is now so grown up he couldn't get to the area that he hunted. :(

Nothing major or fancy. Just stuff to make it work better for me. Running boards, seat covers, BakFlip
Did the engine have sudden stoppage? I've helped tear down a few R985s and 1340s and the amount of bendage inside after a sudden stoppage was always severe. I don't know if bendage is a real word but that's what Dad called it.

LOL! Poor thing was donated by a junkyard up in Liberty Hill. If we would haul it off, we could have it. It looks like junkyard bobcat lifts played soccer with it. One cylinder is broken off, it will not rotate, most the exhausts are gone, as are maybe half of the intakes. We got one intact magneto to show off. What you see above is what is left of the engine plate. I doubt we will ever get it identified.

At least twice a week, FB groups post pictures of 2800's just to torment me!

New cord plugs delivered yesterday. Just enough daylight left to rush through installing them and get everything blown off before it rained... producing more leaves. I like when a plan sort of comes together. Leaves will be done for the year, as soon as it's too cold to mess with them, not quite yet. New carbon monoxide detector is in place... we've already used the fireplace a few times, so I guess that season is off and running.
Next up, snow blower, and spud bar driveway ice removal season. I still wear a wrist brace occasionally from last years' icepack.

Took about a minute, total time, on the laser machine. Vision has improved.
Stay safe Mike until law enforcement catches this creep.

Good morning. Happy Friday! Get your weekend shopping done today. Today is a Lowes and Harris Teeter run with a haircut in there for me. Going to make hot sauce today.

    Good morning and happy Friday!

Almost had my day ruined by a 6 point buck this morning. Jumped across the road right in front of me. Saw a flash of movement so I got off the throttle and started braking. Grabbed a bunch of brake just in time as I doubt I missed hm by more than 2 feet. Heart rate was through the roof for a few minutes and damned near soiled myself.
