Potato guns

Does anyone have a potato gun?
if so, lets see them, post some pics

(pneumatic cannons count as well)

i am in the process of building one (still have materials to get)

No pictures, but me and my cousins made one and it was BADASS lmao it would launh a potato AT LEAST a football field.

i built a pneumatic cannon a while back (had to destroy it to keep people from using it, realized i didn't use pressure rated pipe)
i put a hole in the roof of our barn, i was using a PVC rocket
it also shot nerf vortex footballs a really long way as well

I've made several of them over the years. They are a kick in the ass! Hairspray was always the best fuel for me. Tried propane, ether and several other airsols but plain old cheap hairspray seemed to work the best. I'll never forget the first time I fired one, shot it over a golf course behind my buddy's house. Scared the shit out of some old men that were putting. Funny as hell!

 

made one a few years ago with seven barrels of 1/2 pvc. not real practical to load but we were board. i'll post pics when i find them.

 

My son has built many of them and was even arrested as freshman in HS while still in his soccer uniform. Nice phone call from the police, we have your son..........I thought it was funny.
The first one we built was out of pipe and had a spark plug and a magneto for fire,but it used tennis balls and oxy-acetylene. It would burn all the fuzzy off the ball. Shot so far up you could not see anymore. It was welded on a base that shot the ball straight up. It sounded like a canon and had the fire ball to prove it.
The ones my son made used hair spray and and starter used to start a BQ pit. There are many designs on the internet on how and what to use.

My old roomate had a pretty badass potato gun that used oxy-acetylene. It had a quick release fitting on it so you could hook the gas tank up to it. Open the valve, let in some of the oxy-acetylene gas, close the valve. Then spin the flint starter for spark...and BOOM! We molded little cylinders of concrete to shoot out of it. We even molded nails in the ends of some (dangerous, I know) and we would shoot them at trees in our backyard. The ones with the nails would stick into the tree. It had a shoulder bad and a handle so you could shoot it like a bazooka.

 

I've built a few in my days. Just your typical potato gun. My friends and I found something fun to do with them. We would play paintball with em. Stuff a sock or towel down into it and dump in about 20 paintballs. Best paintball gun evar!
