    What do you guys think?
My neighbor sells his2010 4x4 DCSB 177k salvage for $13500.

I bought mine 3 years ago with 130k for almost $10k more so it might seem like a good deal to me, Not sure the reason for the salvage title tho.

    Prices vary by location.
Do be aware that in some states you can not register a vehicle that has a salvage title so be sure to check your local laws.

Salvage also makes insurance difficult/ more expensive

Seems high to me. Salvage title normally discounts the selling price by A LOT. May keep you from being able to get a loan to buy it. May cause you problems if the repairs weren't done right. Will definitely kill your resale if you sell it.

This and what @HoosierBuddy said. If this were say, a really great deal at an auction for a luxury/exotic that you normally wouldn't be able to get into, had the means to repair and gain the Salvage title yourself so you know how it was handled, maybe. But for a 14 year old Truck that you're going to want to rely on...I'd pass. There are definitely similar priced options out there Clean. Maybe 2K more in price, maybe 20K more in miles to meet the price.

Agree with the crowd. Not enough discount there for 177k w/salvage title. You could get the same truck with a clean title here in the pacific northwest (where the Toyota Tax is high) for 15ish private sale.
