Back up cam problem

    I tried adding aftermarket android auto wireless car play box to my 2017 factory taco... It didn't work. When I removed it and went back to regular factory hook ups cam won't work. Anyone else have this problem. And any suggestions to add wireless car play to non android auto jbl head unit? For now I just want my back up camera to work again! Lol

    My understanding is this is only for head units that came with car play and this converts wired to wireless. I don't know of any devices that will convert a non-carplay enabled head unit to carplay that works on the tacoma. Might be cheaper to install a tacogarage tablet mount and hang a tablet in front of the head unit and just run it through BT.

    Yep, that's correct. I missed that OP mentioned theirs is a 2017 without factory android auto or carplay.
