I have a 2003 Tacoma and I’ve recently been noticing that sometimes the rpm will stick. When I put it in neutral instead of the rpm dropping to around 1000 it’ll stay at about 2 and I have to rev the engine to get it to drop. I’ve only noticed this happening when I have the clutch in and I’m also pressing the break. Any ideas to what is causing this?

What engine? Anything else going on? Whats the history of the truck?

Tune up time. Clean MAF, throttle body, IAC, etc... deep dive check vacuum leaks , check for exhaust leaks. 1000 = high idle.
