Installed a Start-X remote start plug and play kit and a diff drop in about 40 min flat. Happy with how the starter turned out. Lock button on factory remote 3 time then vroom.

nope no luck. At this point I’m thinking of sawing it off with a dremel and trying to drill all the way through. If that doesn’t work I’ll just give up, I don’t 100% need it to reattach the bed rail again but I hate knowing this screw is stuck there

I just have a single TRD badge on the tailgate and I'd kill to have a gold/bronze badge instead of black. Like the old 4Runners.

I suppose I could try painting it myself, but... I don't know if I could come close to quality.

I have the same remote start. I had issues with the ground wire location, it became loose or something after about month and I started having really weird issues. You can't really tighten it down too good without damaging the plastic. I moved it to another spot and it's good now.

No ground wire with this kit. All plug n play. No grounding or splicing. Really straight forward kit.

I know, not a MPG post, but I was really surprised today. I bought a Peddle Commander a couple weeks back and have been using it in sport mode around town. Today I had to run 75 miles up north and back. So on the way up I set it to Eco mode, averaged 18.8 mpg. On the way back I filled up the gas tank to the level it was for my ride up and decided to go to Eco mode +2 and got 23.5 mpg on the way back! It for sure saved me some gas.

    Nice work! Looks great.

Per @Jbbarrette, that's the power connector for fog lights.

I finally installed the Toyota OEM remote tailgate lock I bought a month ago.
Install was pretty EZ. Would have been easier with a lift. I have big hands & arms so getting to that plug under the front seat was a pita. Also the metal ties at muffler were a bit difficult. Everything else was a piece of cake. Works great.

    Congrats!

I got a couple of those metal ties on but nothing I had would cut them. So I just rolled them up like a fruit roll-up in hopes they don't puncture something later.

But yah, it's much easier than people expect. I was afraid to do mine until I opened up the tailgate and figured out where and how the mechanism sits then I was like, "screw it. let's do this thing!"

Thanks! Does that mean fog lights actually are plug and play with a new switch and lights? I thought new wiring had to be run if it didn't come from the factory with fog lights.

That would be great if you can keep up that MPG. Before you get too excited, maybe check the altitude at your start and end points. I get about 10 going up my big hill, and 30 going down it. If you are in OH, your hills may not be as big but any hill makes a difference.
