Prednisone and Robaxin?

 

Prednisone for 6 days he said.

Waiting for Rite Aid to text and say it's ready.

Picked up the meds.

Here goes nothing!

Steroid is a 6 day pack, with each day taking one less pill.

Supposed to take 6 today. Since I "missed" the morning dose, took it with the lunch dose. Said on the package that I have to take all 6 pills the first day regardless of what time I get it.

And also took a muscle relaxer.

I came home after the side job and opened all of my windows.

 

Tied 1-1.

Feels like loss because we were up 1-0, should have done better but the kids decided to goof around too much. Argh.

 

Spent today getting the cats' nails trimmed, then chasing the leaves with the tractor and push mower.

16 bags..and found a bee's nest underground, thankfully no stings though. FUCK MY LIFE.

Lesson learned yesterday. Not taking anymore of those muscle relaxers. Made me feel loopy. Nope, don't like that at all.

 

It's okay, it's what kids do. Let them have their fun. Adulting will come soon enough. Be happy they're having fun.

Nuno - the drugs allow you to do the P.T. The P.T. is what actually fixes your back problem. You've GOT to do the P.T. & do all of it.
If you don't build up the support muscle structure this will just keep happening & eventually you probably will end up with disc damage.
Your body has given you a very clear warning. Make the time to listen & fix so you'll be healthy enough to play with the grandkids instead of just watching them.

Built a jumper/converter thingy for the new truck. The factory head unit is camera ready, original owner just didn't order a rear camera. The cab windows are tinted dark, the cap windows are tinted dark, I just can't see nothing. Probably will pull the cap off, but other than totally blinding me, I like the cap, so I'm trying to make it work.
I bought a sacrificial plug with wires to steal the wires. Didn't have anything to de-pin it with, ended forcing a small paper clip to work. De-pined the wires & the pins didn't fit in the correct Molex plug I need to use. oh well. cut off the ends & used the pins that came in the Molex kit. Had to take a guess about orientation. It's built but it may be built upside down - I tried the empty plug, but just couldn't get a read on it with no pins in it. The Molex will be easier to de-pin if I need to.

Why? The factory review camera option ran on 8v & any modern camera runs on 12v. The factory camera didn't use modern RCA center pin plug, so I needed to convert the input to accept an RCA cable. I'm going to steal 12 from the trailer plug, I'll make a plug & need to have the lights on for r-v camera, but that's my answer to avoid cutting my taillights harness.

I didn't order the camera until Friday past, so it'll be a bit getting here for me to know if I got this right.
I ordered a tailgate handle/camera all-in-one unit. Amazon has it for $119, Ebay has the same unit for $76, but AliExpress has an almost identical copy for $40. I'm cheap - decided to give the $40 copy a shot. All the specs were the same, but the Amazon/Ebay one uses a "high quality camera", the AliExpress camera uses a Sony camera with the same specs. This camera is held in by a metal bracket & two screws. It should be easy to change cameras if I want to upgrade, but really don't think quality will matter much for this application.

So now I wait...

 

Did some wiring diagram reading tonight. My truck is wired with a 7 (flat) pin hitch & a 4-flat hitch sockets.
If I wire into the 4 flat I'd hook up to the "running lights" brown wire for power. I'll have to have the lights on for the camera to work.. I'm not certain if that would mean the camera will be on always when the lights are on. The would be an issue when using the Nav at night. Maybe. Not sure.
Some reading & I find the 7 pin socket - the center pin is reverse lights - so that will power the camera while in R. There is also a 12v power pin. I assume that is switched power, but don't know for sure. Hooking to that power would put the camera on whenever the vehicle is on day or night. I'd take a meter to it, but enough outside in the rain.
I ordered both a 7 pin & a 4 pin. Options. They'll be here before the camera.

Does anyone know for certain - is the power to a 7 pin trailer socket switched?

 

Back pain is never fun. I had a herniated L5-S1 in 2017 which turned into having a microdiscectomy at 26. If you need a doctor, I can give you names...

 

My wife has a bad L1 and L5..degenerating. Had a double replacement, C4-5 a couple of years ago

 

My back definitely feels better today.

No muscle relaxer, just on the steroid "regiment".

Gonna call the PT place tomorrow and see about setting that up.
