Was crawling through some threads, hopefully someone can chime in. They sell a skid plate hardware kit for $20-$30 separately, but I wasn't sure if I could just re-use the factory hardware from my '23 Trail.

    Part #: PT938-00140-AA

TRD Skid is $373 from a local dealer.

The TRD skid comes with all the hardware needed to mount it, and the primary bolts are retained with their spacers to the skid.

Be warned that it's pretty heavy and awkward to mount. Jacks, jack stands and/or another body are very helpful.

Remember that some of the bolts are shorter/longer than the others. Don’t mix them up when you’re mounting it up

It's a good idea to watch at least one YouTube video on how to install because it will tell you which four bolts you have to remove entirely after you remove the factor sheet metal under there. There are no instructions with the TRD package other than torque specs for the two different sized bolts. It's pretty easy to install by yourself if you've got a floor jack to lift it into position. I rolled my truck up onto those heavy duty plastic ramps or I would have had to put the front up on jack stands in order to have enough clearance to move around under the vehicle.

I've never found the need for a jack, you just need to embrace the awkward. I lay on my back, put it on my stomach and arch my back and embrace the yoga pose. ;)

Is that the p/n for the hardware kit? I tried searching that p/n on the website and it didn't pull up any results :(

I'm 74 and did it. I took a bunch of scrap 2x4 lumber and alternately added them under the skid plate to raise it up until the bolt threads could catch.
