I got to spend a day getting wined and dined by a manufacturer looking for my business. That was a nice change of pace. I've always been on the other side of the table. I was the manufacturer sales guy with the expense account spending money to make sure the distributors were happy.

After we spent an entire day together making sales calls, he begrudgingly asked (with a smile) if I'd like to go out for the evening to watch the game, and I said "fuck no. I've been on your side of the business long enough. I'm well aware that all you want to do is go back to the hotel and sleep before you get to fly home tomorrow."

I did get him to promise to send me one of his company's fancy north face winter jackets he was wearing though.



To his detriment, I had access to a private jet when I was the mfr rep for a dock and door company. He does not. Very disappointed.

So this could be a disaster for America's vice related industries.. people taking Ozempic are noticing it's also halting their other addictive behaviors. As of yet they have no idea why this would happen, but in general 5 to 10% of people who engage in addictive behaviors for any given vice are generally responsible for 90% consumption of that vice...
10% of addictive gamblers are responsible for 90% of gambling, etc.
So if we cure of that top 5 to 10%

I drink too much and dip chew like it's going out of style. If this is a miracle cure for bad vices, I'm getting on the list to get it. And I'm not a poor, so I can probably have my Rx filled

Ozempic breaking the pareto principle. When I was working for a BRK company, that was our holy bible. For whatever reason, we turned everything into an 80/20 rule.

Only thing I've hated more in my professional career was Toyota and their Kaizan nonsense.

 

I just keep drinking in the hopes that either the world collapses or GME moons. It's costing me a lot of money to live in denial
