Factory bracket is pretty thin. It would bend fairly easy.

Been checking out the other websites for Budbuilt and Skidrow, they look pretty stout and nicely made. OP has a ton of choices out there, hopefully we'll see some pics once installed.

will post whatever ends up happening. probably gonna go with one from Ethan if he does do the batch ...

just simply cause i dont have $$$ to throw at these fancy expensive ones.

Taco is my daily driver from the farm to town. its not a rock climber or anything like that.

Its been outside for years it does have a rust hole which would be easily fixed if you have a welder. All mounting brackets entact a coat of paint will make it perfectly fine. Im in KC so shipping would be expensive for the size of packaging. Up to you !

Wasn't there also a company in Canada making aluminum ones? I have all 3 Skid Row ones, and love them, but aluminum ones would be so much lighter.

Heh, mine too, but look at that rusted through spot, it's pretty well welded to the metal on top. I just went at mine with a wire wheel, acetone cleanup and rattle-canned it to mitigate the rust until I can afford to upgrade.

Speaking of which, you all owe me a keyboard, have to pull out my backup KB from all the drooling.

Sorry guys I'm not interested in $4-500 mud catchers.

Have a plasma cutter & welder, think could make one for under $100. I'm just lazy & figured if it was cheap would buy it.

looks like these things are just way overpriced.

    i didnt complain.

decided that Ethans looks like the only "purchase" option vs making it myself.

Unfortunately its been over 3 years and I am thinking it was around $245 but not 100% Pretty sure that same stainless steel piece has gone up a few bucks since then.
