My 2012 taco (4x4. Access Cab, auto trans) had been making a ticking sound and I should have investigated sooner. The front yoke broke just behind the transfer case. Due the forward half of the shaft needing replaced I am thinking of buying the complete shaft with center bearing. Is OEM the best bet? and anyplace offer better prices?

    Thanks in advance.

OEM is your best bet. Mcgeorge Toyota usually has the best deals but wherever you buy from, prepare your butt for the shipping

I just removed the whole shaft from the truck and the damage is just the front yoke and front U-joint, so I am going to try to find these parts and repair the original shaft. Center support bearing seem fine. May swap out all 3 joints while it is off the truck.

Parts ordered from Yotamaster, three new U-joints and the yoke that is tore up, about $180 and a new can of hand cleaner.
