    Morning all!

I've got a blacksand 2008 v6 4x4 access cab with the sport package. Right now I'm running the stock TRD Sport 17x7.5 wheels with 265/70r17 BFG K02's measuring about 31.8 inches giver or take.

I've installed an OME 2inch leveling kit (front struts/springs and rear shocks - no added leaf) giving me around 37 inches from ground to fender on all 4 corners.

After some contemplation I've landed on the Method 701's but now am stuck on what size. I like the idea of running 16x8 with a larger tire, but I still want to maintain the same profile - around 32 inches diameter. But the 17's would match the original profile and be slightly wider.

    Two questions:
    1. If I were running the 17's I'd stick with the 265/70r17 tires, but to get the same dimensions would 265/75r16 work?

    2. Would you recommend the 16x8 or 17x8.5

17 inch gives you more tire choices. check out this page for tire size comparisons - https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

@3Forks this chart shows the difference between the two size tires. It really comes down to how much sidewall you want. I would agree with @DavesTaco68 in regards to more options in 17inch though.

I would say to go with 17". Tire choice is much better and the selection of 16" will only get worse. Remember 4-5 years down the road when you need new tires once again. Why are you wanting to change wheels?
