My heat has been like a warm/cold, and I flushed the heater core and radiator last year, I changed my thermostat, and the hoses that lead into the fire wall are hot, I don’t know what the problem could be

There’s a heater control valve under the hood.
If the radiator is full of coolant, you might see if the control valve is working. (Stuck partially closed)

there could be air in your heater core. When you flushed the radiator, did you properly burp the system? A sign of cold air when heat is on is usually due to air in the heater core.

I know the Hvc and mechanical pieces are working and moving where they need to be. I’m gonna try another flush in the heater core and put new coolant in And see what happens

I would also check your blend door to make sure it's functioning properly, you should be able to hear a servo motor moving the door when you switch between, around the glovebox area

The owner before more out bars leak into my coolant system to before me so that could also be a problem

Stop leak will fill up a heater core. Gets trapped.
When flushing go both ways but mainly backwards of normal flow.
Even flushing can't get all the stuff out.
I've never used chemical flushing products though.
Might be something to look into.

His 97 has all mechanical HVAC blends. Change over was 2001 or so.

But I agree - tear into the dash under the passenger side and see if the area around the heater core is getting warm and things are operating correctly with the linkages for the doors.
