o.k. I'm pretty sure these aren't genuine. Anyone got a picture of an authentic Vosla bulb and box?

Look at the Volsa product catalog: https://www.vosla.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/2018_vosla_Automotive-Catalog-DE_EN.pdf

The HB3/9005 has a product code of 27415.

Your bulbs have an HB3/9005 product code of 27415.

You mention that the 9005s don't have a glare cap as suspect. Why would they? A 9005 is a high beam bulb and does not include a glare cap. It is not uncommon for some bulbs to be packaged in somewhat generic brand boxes vs something bulb-model specific, I believe my Volsas were in a similar packaging.

Here are the last Volsas I had (left) HIR1/9011s from many years ago

These were for the fogs correct? Did you ever pull the fog bulbs to verify the bulb type?

O,k,, yes the non glare cap 9005's are the high beams... makes sense.
Good to know you recall simular boxes. Seems so none quality brand to NOT have identifying marks like +120 or even 9005 on the boxes. The bulbs themselves are microscopically laser etched, identifying them as +120 9005.

I've always used the "fog" lights with the HIDs, they worked well to gether. I have not yet pulled the fog bulbs as of yet to identify. The book calls for 9006 (driving light more than fog?).
