rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.
I "discovered" that those two bed cover mounting fasteners are PERFECTLY SPACED to fit one of these.

So I fitted one. It's called "the dog hold down" , as it serves as a leash point to keep 'em from jumping out over the sides. ;-)

Full skid set from CR put on over the weekend. Couldn't pass up 30% off on the recent group buy. Install was cake. Its nice working on the truck, didn't even need a jack.

I looked at that but was afraid the sound of the loose D link clanging around when I hit bumps would drive me nuts. That is why I specifically went with the rigid mounts - no noise. If needed I can turn them inward, outward, upward, etc. To be honest, I may never use them but hated the fact I had 2 threaded holes that weren't being utilized. :)

I would suggest getting the OEM 3rd gens, then score your choice of font for decals from Etsy. Apply them with high heat from a hair drier (or very judicious use of a heat gun), then seal with a few coats of satin clear to keep them in place. Guaranteed body line fit, that way.

Thx to this forum I was able to get a 33" spare with little effort the other day. Chose the pizza cutter size to hopefully eliminate rubbing on control arms if I need it on the front. I moved the tire hanger to the rear a couple inches to make room for the larger tire. I didn't bend the alignment tabs, figured it would keep tire away from the diff. Like a glove!

Super helpful post, thanks for sharing with pics.

Was moving the tire hanger a big process?

It really wasn't. The hanger requires 4 holes for mounting. You drill 2 new holes rearward and use the two rear most holes that are already there. Make sure you have ratcheting wrenches I think it's a 10mm or 12mm because it's pretty tight between bed and mount. Also don't accidentally drill through your bed, maybe place something above to protect bed while your drilling.

Bought a set of Victory 4x4 molle door panels and modified the mounting solution from them a bit to make it more secure and am loving it so far (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/victory-4x4-door-molle-panel.815119/) little more install information, also finally got my seat mounting panel so I could mount a fire extinguisher in front of the driver seat.

I always put a clear PPF film over my headlights for rock and sun protection (whether it actually accomplishes those two things I don't know but I think it does). You can get small quantities easily on Amazon (I've used 3M and VViVid films; my most recent was with VViViD Barricade). Buy extra!
However, modern headlights and the Tacoma's in particular are a difficult shape and I doubt it's possible with one piece. My second attempt I made a template for the fronts and then really worked and stretched the film with heat over the fronts and back mostly to the black bits. It looks fine; no one will notice my slight imperfections. But note that it was my second attempt on the Tacoma, and I've done 4 other sets of headlights. It's not that easy and I'm not that great with vinyl.

There is an Etsy seller, BogarTech, that makes smoked tint overlays for the Tacoma. Maybe they would custom make a clear one? I did my tails with their light tint (I won't tint my headlights) and it was quite a process. Not a good project for a first-timer. Good luck!

Interesting fire extinguisher mount, but I would rotate the hose clamp screws to under the mount, to eliminate another thing to snag pant legs on.

I like the 1st aide kit mount you did. I've been trying to find a place for mine. I was thinking in the rear on the floor in the middle on the hump. Who makes a mole panel for that spot lol?
