12v power port failure

12v power port failure.

Long story short, my brother in law twisted a plug in the dash power port and it stopped working. The 15 amp fuse under the dash is good. Changed it just in case. Still no power. The plug behind the dash is fully engaged. I am still not getting power with a test light.

Thoughts? Is there a secondary system fuse?

 

remove the plug off the socket and check for 12 volts. If you have power probably a bad socket.

 

I did pull the socket. No power at the plug with a test light.

 

Any other electronic things not working also? Ignition on when checking for power? Power to the fuse under the dash? Check the fuses under the hood?

 

You will need to back up your meter to the fuse and see what voltage you have there.
