Getting some new wheels/tires for a 2023 OR and have a couple questions:

    1) Is there any general preference for specific tire shops? Like Discount vs TireRack vs Costco vs ??? I assume the national players are all basically equivalent and whoever has the best price is the place to go, but I'm in the Seattle area, so recs for a local independent would be great as well.

    2) Is an alignment necessary? New wheels have a -12 offset and tires will be 265/70/17 on bone stock suspension. It's not much of a size step-up from stock, but offset is obviously a significant change. Less than 1000 road miles on the truck, so current alignment is good with the stock wheel/tire.

    3) Going to try and sell the stock wheel/tires. Thoughts on a fair price? I've seen quite a bit of variability, but around $600 seems to be ballpark for barely used pull-offs.

Anyone with experience getting tires mounted at 4WheelParts? Costco and TireRack told me they won't transfer my TPMS over to the new wheels, nor will they mount on the truck because they are too far off of factory spec. Les Schwab will do it for $190 if I get the tires elsewhere (they don't have what I want). 4WP will do it for $65 if I buy the tires from them. Seems like the best deal, but wondering if others have been satisfied with them.

I always go to Americas Tire and have always been happy. they just mounted, balanced and transferred TPMS putting my stock tires on new wheels for $22 per tire. I can't imagine that they couldn't accommodate you, as you are only going up like half an inch in tire size.
