Admittedly, it does require a certain state of mind to watch that movie.

Hey @pearing. I'd like to play "Follow-the-Leader" in Arkansas. If you'll have me, I'll tag along.

First date with my wife was to a musical.
I went to many a musicals that her kids were in. Her second youngest went to school for musical theater. I've seen alot. Traveled down to Sarasota Florida to see him when he was going for his masters degree.

^^ This!^^ It's a fave movie of mine Halloween or not. While musicals are not really my thing it's a campy take on the old horror and sci-fi films of the 30's-50's. Add in a good measure of theatrics from the original play and it's a good time.

I never had the chance to see it in the theater. I should really see it at the Oriental in Milwaukee where it is the longest running film. At one point I believe they were showing it every week for years.

To be fair, I was pretty young when I tried watching it. I think I might have actually been in junior high. I also think I might have watched it with some friends when I was in my early 20s, but I don't remember anything about it.

Maybe I'll give it a shot this winter during my hibernation from social interaction. :spy:

I have found that I appreciate things a lot more now that I didn't care for when I was younger. Maybe I'm missing out on something.

The Little Shop of Horrors was a decent musical too. Steve Martin makes a good dentist!

    I actually liked this one!

And, despite my general dislike of musicals, one of my favorite movies is Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory, the Gene Wilder version.

I have always thought of it as a musical. I mean, it's a hybrid at least. Characters breaking into song every 10 minutes or so.

    I guess it's not really considered a musical. Maybe that's why I like it.:notsure:
