Hey ya’ll, so as of yesterday after I parked my car at a friends house and came back to it 5 hours later, I noticed that the radio unit and my shifter stick light were still on. I was confused and turned off the car and on again to no success.

On my way back, I stopped at Walmart to get a new battery for the fob as it was running low only to discover that the key no longer locks/unlocks the car, and the car does not lock. If locked with using the physical key from the outside it immediately opens again.

Today I took it to a friends shop where they checked for codes and it was throwing zero codes. I did have an abs code and 2wd to 4wd change error code throw on Saturday when offroad but those cleared after shutting the car off and on again and I haven’t been able to replicate it throwing those codes again.

As of today I have tried:

    - Disconnecting battery and leaving overnight
    - Checking for codes
    - Shutting the car off in N and parking brake and then turning back on and shifting to P (mechanic suggested it)

The last method resulted in the radio unit to turn off, but the PNRD light turns off and back on when it senses my key nearby. Furthermore, the code reader shows the car being on accessory mode even when these lights are off.

I am going to get a better look at the wiring and etc tomorrow, however nothing electrical was installed on the car in the last few months. Is there a possibility something was knocked loose?

Has anybody experienced this and potential starting places or fixes that come to mind? Thank You

"Nothing electrical was installed in the last few months" meaning you do have aftermarket electrical items installed?

Yes, sorry poorly worded. I did unplug most of these additions today (still no success) and I am going to rip out all aftermarket electrical stuff tomorrow for a switch pros install. These additions are ditch lights, light bar, winch, and fog lights.

You're being punished for repeatedly calling it a "car"!

Little update, as of 10pm yesterday it decided to go back to turning off regularly and not being stuck in accessory mode… I am so confused, but until it happens again…
