Anything welding

I successfully made 3 angle grinder cuts in some steel flat bar, put it in a vice, drilled some screw holes, and hammered it into 90s to make some DIY metal brackets this weekend. That makes me a fabricator and qualified to be here, right?

Gonna learn to weld one day..

I grew up on skateboards; I'm probably more of a woodworker

 

Metal fab is just woodworking...with much higher temperatures.

i am only allowed to touch wood to burn or in demolition .

Start the Wood shop on fire in school they never wanted to take a chance again ever.

 

You can’t just do an “oopsy” on wood and weld it back together or repair it.

well. You can depending on how bad and the use. But for the most part a piece cut short with wood is trash but metal you can repair lol.

Thanks @Kwikvette !! You definitely exaggerated the supposed lack of quality of this thing. It looks great lol. My brother loved it. and big thanks for the other goodies, my wife is gonna love the ghosts.

 

Not even; if it was something I was selling/sold I'd definitely make sure it was perfect!

Cutting is supposed to happen at .06" and my torch is stuck at cutting at .02" height so everything is cut incorrectly; that includes all the ghosts, the target, etc

Really though, glad you like it!

 

Ordered a new, steel coupler for the Z axis





So THC is all off, and the new torch remains uninstalled



For now all I can do is hang out with the little one, game, or drink

 

It's good to have options.
