Hey guys I've been on this forum for years reading, and just realized I've never posted! Been super thankful for all the information that's helped bring my 4th owner '98 Tacoma 2.4 2wd back to life, at 360k mi. Pouring in lots of time, money and work to make it reliable again, including patching the frame. It's not a looker, but being used extensively as a work "g.s.d." vehicle. My fiance loves the lil truck, and so do I.

BUT now I'm stuck with an old problem.. the severely cracked cast manifold. I've spent an absurd many hours, days, gas and miles chasing a replacement... And my time deadline for life stuff is closing.

So, I'm looking for an '01 to '04 Tacoma/4Runner 4cyl OEM exhaust manifold mini-header 17141-75080 for my 98 Tacoma 2.4, and the new prices have me dying. I've already called all the junk yards within 250 mi of me (over 26 places, I stopped counting), and nobody has one. Already went and bought the wrong one and returned it (that was 7hrs of driving and 2 days wasted.).

I don't want to go cast, but my manifold is split all the way around really badly, and this is my only vehicle at the moment, 600mi from home. About to be forced to order a cast style, and reading experiences from others, it's a waste of money since they all seem to crack again.

Anybody have one sitting on a shelf by chance?? (and willing to ship to NC)

    Thanks for reading!

They are only like 60 something bucks on eBay motors, the cast iron Dorman clones. I've seen stainless tube style for double that at the cheapest, also eBay motors. I have a 95.5 with a cracked manifold and I've had no luck with epoxy, so now I'm probably going to pull it off (again), attempt to oxy acetylene weld it up and save my pennies for a tri-y thorley knockoff. If you are seriously strapped for cash like me, I'd suggest gas flame welding it or even brazing (although that'd be more likely to flow out or blow out under heat and pressure). What I did do that stopped the cracks from growing was drill out the leading ends of the cracks.
