Swapped out the original OEM battery after 76,000 miles / 7.5 years. No pics 'cause everyone knows what a battery looks like. Also lubed the fuel door and hood latch with lithium grease while I was there.

I know the feeling a while back I bought a factory TRD skid plate from a Toyota dealer out of state. Received a return with scratches, a bent bolt and you could tell the bolts had been wrenched on. Looks like someone tried to install it and didn’t know what they were doing and then returned. The dealer made it right and even credited me the high 60 or 70 shipping rate. Sent me a new one and everything worked out. Ended up only paying like 360ish to my door if I remember correctly.
But yeah initially I was pretty upset . Can’t even imagine for you to install and then uninstall your bed cover because of the issues you’ve had. I was furious with only what happen to me ..

You could have provided a picture of the fuel door.

Took advantage of the nice weather and got a nice clean in before winter. Also installed the Apache 9800 from harbor freight. They had a 10% off discount this weekend. It just happened to fit perfect on top of the front runner. Didn’t measure beforehand cause YOLO. Got to love when a plan comes together smoothly C369FDA5-538D-4631-81DA-0DF62D0809E0.jpg41E38BC2-1497-4B5D-88A9-D9378EAF8788.jpg4B1DF25E-3500-44F8-89A3-217FBCED4EBB.jpg

The juice is definitely worth the squeeze. Yeah it’s a GMRS ghost antenna. I liked my 3 footer I had on there before, but got tired of hitting it on the garage door lol

The torque comes alive with a load in the 2.7, the motor feels happy all of the sudden.

Added a second solar panel to help make sure my battery does not get overly drained when I'm using my radios.

Got my Diamondback cover installed. Now going to see if I have weatherproof the rest of the bed well enough.

Day 1 of me trying to cosmoline my truck without a lift, ramps, or a jack.

    IT SUCKS

After I dropped the spare tire, I started by wrapping/taping the exhaust in newspaper to minimize how much is going to burn off. Don't do it like I did though. Tape up the entire exhaust and everything else you don't want to get black goop on before you start spraying. I did it as I went and I ended up with it in my clothes, in my hair, on my face, etc..

I'm about 1/2 done. I'll pick up again tomorrow when I can get some natural light from the sun. It was too tough in the dark moving my drop light every 2 inches.
