Anyone got any guidance on which to buy and where when it comes to the left and right roof molding (the rubber strip you remove for roof rack)?

I’m removing a roof rack and would like to put the molding back.

I’m willing to pay if anyone has some for left and right for my 2023 Double Cab!

Check the classifieds and local groups, many add racks. I think they’re pretty darn pricey new from OE.

Thanks. Didn’t see much in there that wasn’t sold. :/

They definitely are pricey new from dealership.

There's little clips that hold them down, very cheap from the dealer, you'll need 4.

If you buy a used set make sure they are straight and true, if warped they will come off easily.

If you don’t mind making your own Amazon sells a roll of sun roof seal that can be used as roof moldings. It’s double sided tape and a friend of mine used it on a civic I’m sure it can work for the Tacoma too. Plus it’s only like 15 bucks

Poke around at a local off-road shop that installs roof racks on Tacomas. They might have a pile of them in the back room.

Or find the manage of the local Carwash, they can save you some, they tend to blow off often.

3 out of the 4 on my roof are perfectly fine. The last one refuses to stay on- they've all been put on by Toyota techs. No matter what I do, I can't keep it on, carwashes loosen it and make it flop around almost every time. So my next move is silicone of some sort. Any suggestions welcome.

Its the tape and the little amount they ise. A good quality tape like 3m and some clear silicone sealant will be best.
