I’m looking for some recommendations on wheels and tires for my 2021 TRD Off-road. I have a 2.5 inch lift and I have no idea how to figure out how much space I have to play with. I have the stock 17 inch wheels right now and would like to drop down to 16 inch so I can beef up the tires. Would that be too small? Also what tire size can I go up to if I did that? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

@Mr_Dyoung many forum members with a 3inch lift would go 17x8 or 8.5 with a 0 offset and a 285/70R17. With a 2.5 inch lift you might be limited to 265/70R17 or require light mods. Method, Fuel, and Black Rhino have some new designs that our website may offer you. Let us know if we can be of any assistance.

Why do you say that they would be limited to 265/70R17 with a 2.5" lift? that is the stock tire for a Tacoma. I would think he could get a 270/70R17 with no issues.

@Tazzmacd factory 17inch size tires are 265/65R17 @ 30.56inches tall, a 265/70R17 is 31.61inches tall. A light mod would be trim or remove mud flaps for example.

Thank you for the correction. I have been looking at so many sizes lately that I got them mixed up.
