CV install whoops

    Yes, it is normal for the axle to slide in and out of the differential a small amount.
    It is doing exactly as you described. When pulling it out, the C-clip stops it from coming out further. It stops against the back side of the spider gear.
    When I put them back in, I do just as you are doing. I pull back out on the CV and make sure it "stops" on the C-clip.
    Then I press it in all the way back in and call it done.

    You should be fine now, just keep an eye on it to see if it boogered up the seal when it came part way out. If it's not leaking, you're fine.

    Mods are currently being changed .....
    yea you should be fine now. You might see some residual dripping for a day. But super minor stuff. Just saying, you might still see something so don't be alarmed.

    I did see a drip after my test drive yesterday. I got worried but wiped it off and was gonna check it daily for a few days. Hopefully it won't return
