    Hello,

    I have a chance to buy a 2006 Toyota Tacoma. It's a crew cab, 60k miles, 2 wheel drive, automatic for $9800.

The reason it has 2wdr is because 4wd is currently not working. To fix it, the diagnosed fix is to replace the actuator/gasket. Other than that, the only issues are cosmetic. The frame was replaced two years ago. See attached photo!

I would. Upon a test drive and over all inspection.

Do you think any long term issues given the 4wd issue?

Save your questions for when its sitting in your driveway. Now go get it before someone beats you to it. Are you sure the frame was replaced 2 years ago. Toyota extended the deadline to the end of 2018 for all 2005 and 2006 models.

Many actuator problems/repairs have been diagnosed and solved on this forum. While not a guarantee...you're in a good place with knowledgeable people. Do a search for actuator and you'll see hundreds of threads on troubleshooting and repairing.
